Why Apple Productivity is now called Focus

What started as Apple productivity content is evolving into something bigger — and that is why it is now called Focus.

Still Apple-first

Apple tools are still at the heart of it. They are the foundation of how I think about productivity: simple, native, intentional, and deeply integrated. But over time, it became clear that the topic is no longer just about apps. It is about how we work, what we protect our attention from, and how we build systems that actually support a better life.

Focus creates more room for that bigger vision.

It still includes Apple-first workflows, practical setups, and ideas around Notes, Reminders, Calendar, Freeform, and more. But it also opens the door to broader themes like deep work, clarity, sustainable productivity, personal systems, and thoughtful growth.

More Apple tools

This wider view also includes apps like Journal, Health, and Fitness. Productivity is not just about tasks and calendars. Mental clarity, reflection, physical wellbeing, and sustainable energy all play a role in doing meaningful work. These parts belong together, and Apple’s ecosystem increasingly supports that connection.

In the future, this section will grow into more than articles. Expect guides, downloads, community-driven resources, and content designed to help people get more out of the tools they already have.

The name changed because the mission became clearer.
