Long time no see

Hey everyone,

it has been a little quiet from my side lately. I recently started a new chapter in my career, so life has been quite busy and I had less time for Peonkun and the community than I would like.

That said, I’m still here, still using our favorite Apple tools every day, and I’m really looking forward to the upcoming OS releases. I hope I can share some updates, thoughts, and new workflows once the new versions are out and I’ve had some time to properly test them.

Hope you’re all doing well. And thanks for keeping this little space alive while I’ve been a bit more in the background.

Hey Chris! Nice to hear from you. Wish you the best on your projects. From my side, I had a huge and surprising issue with Apple Reminders ☹️, and I have migrated away from it for the foreseeable future. I was thinking of making a post about it here. I honestly I’m still shocked with what happened, I lost a lot of data.

Chris Plonski

Hey Oscar T., good to hear from you too. Hope you’re doing well!

That sounds pretty serious. What exactly happened with Apple Reminders? Would be great if you could share it here, I’m sure this would be useful for others too, especially if there’s a risk of losing data.

Oscar Torres

Chris Plonski in short, approximately 260 completed and incompleted reminders were deleted (appeared in the Recently deleted list without any action from me), and around 1650 disappeared altogether (not recoverable from my side). I may make a longer and detailed post about this if I choose to dedicate time to it in the future 😅

I am working on simplifying my setup...I think I spent more time testing tools and actual productivity came to a halt! Hope all is well and I am looking forward to you sharing more cool stuff!

Chris Plonski

Jerome Koehler Yes, I think that’s pretty common. Sometimes we spend so much time testing and optimizing tools that the actual work stops. That’s also why many people end up coming back to the Apple tools. More is not always better.

Thanks a lot, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what you share as well!
