Info
PIXELCOTTON was born from a collaboration of lifestyle gamers and creatives, fueled by energy drinks and a passion for the gaming industry. What started as a side project while I was primarily focused on Spreadshirt’s marketplace, quickly grew into a full-fledged endeavor. Collaborating closely with David Zerbe, I led the design of the brand’s overall look and feel, including the redesign of the logo.
Overview
PIXELCOTTON aimed to create a distinctive identity in the highly competitive gaming gear market. We focused on designing a seamless user experience for the platform, positioning it as a go-to destination for high-quality gaming merchandise. The challenge was to balance a bold and playful aesthetic with functional design that appealed to both hardcore gamers and casual enthusiasts.
My Role
I was responsible for the entire branding process, from the initial concept to the final execution. Working in collaboration with David Zerbe, I redesigned the logo and defined the visual identity, ensuring the brand stood out in a crowded market. I also played a key role in creating a brand book filled with essential guidelines and creative insights, which served as a foundation for the brand’s future development. Additionally, I was involved in designing the user flow for the online store, shaping a vision for an innovative e-commerce platform in the gaming sector.
Outcomes & Impact
The rebranding of PIXELCOTTON resulted in a striking visual identity and a cohesive design system that set the brand apart. The user flow and design principles established during the project laid the groundwork for future developments, providing a clear path for the company’s growth. The brand continues to serve as an example of how strong design and clear vision can create lasting impact in niche markets.
