Bergstorming is an outdoor blog I developed as a private project. Starting from scratch, I conceptualized the brand, from its name, logo, claim, and tonality, to designing and building the entire platform on WordPress. One of the main challenges was synchronizing various social media platforms to enhance our outreach, aiming for near real-time updates on our outdoor adventures.

Overview

Bergstorming caters to beginner hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. The blog focuses on sharing authentic experiences, offering practical tips and tricks, and documenting our adventures in nature. The goal was to create a platform that not only shared information but also inspired readers to start their own outdoor journeys.

My Role

In this project, I was responsible for the complete brand identity and the technical execution. I led the design and development of the website, integrated social media channels for seamless content distribution, and crafted a cohesive visual language. Additionally, I managed the content strategy, focusing on engaging new hikers with informative and relatable posts.

Outcomes & Impact

Bergstorming quickly gained traction among new hikers, becoming a trusted source of information and inspiration for outdoor adventures. The seamless integration with social media allowed for real-time engagement, significantly increasing the blog’s visibility and audience. It also strengthened my personal brand in the outdoor and design community, showcasing my ability to manage and grow a project from concept to execution. However, the project was eventually discontinued following a personal separation from my then-girlfriend, with whom I had presented the blog as a joint venture.
